About this board game
Dicium is a dice-driven adventure game for 1–4 players, with sessions lasting around 60 minutes. Its central mechanism uses eleven identical dice, each showing both a number and a color, to create combinations that let players perform up to two actions on a turn.
The same general rules support four very different games, each set in its own universe and offering a distinct style of play. The dual aspects on every die provide a broad range of possible number and color combinations as you decide how to use your results.
- Crazy Cup: A competitive race for 1–4 players, ages 8 and up. Rush through the Grand Canyon, use devious tricks to hinder your opponents, and try to cross the finish line first.
- Dungeon: A cooperative adventure for 1–4 players, ages 10 and up. Explore a dangerous dungeon, search for treasures, and face monsters and traps while seeking the Goblin King’s crown.
- Civilization: A competitive conquest game for 1–4 players, ages 12 and up. Explore an archipelago, establish cities, confront enemies, and build a Wonder to secure your empire’s place in history.
- Shogun: An asymmetrical confrontation for 2 or 4 players, ages 12 and up. Ninjas attempt to abduct the Shogun while samurai defend him according to their Bushido code.
Whether you prefer a frantic race, a cooperative treasure hunt, an ancient-world empire, or a clash between ninjas and samurai, Dicium lets you experience a different strategic challenge through the same distinctive dice system. Released in 2018, it brings four compact adventures together in one game.
