About this board game

Die Magier von Pangea is a modular board game for 2–4 players, with a play time of about 60 minutes. Its board is formed from landtiles that can be moved across a sea, creating a constantly changing version of Pangea.

The game features five different landtile types, each associated with a tribe that can produce goods there. Every player has tribes in only three of these types. Landtiles also have a maximum number of inhabitants, and no production takes place when a tile contains more tribes than it can support.

Amulets are the key to victory. They can only be bought from opposing tribes that are currently producing, making production and the position of tribes important to the pursuit of victory.

  • Modular board with movable landtiles on a sea
  • Five landtile types, each linked to a producing tribe
  • Tribes with limited tile capacity and production restrictions
  • Amulets that increase a player’s magical power

Amulets increase a player’s magical power, which can be used in several ways. Magic can create new tribes, move neutral tribes around, or even move the landtiles themselves. These powers connect the changing geography with the growth and movement of the game’s tribes.

With its shifting land, restricted production, opposing tribes, and magical actions, Die Magier von Pangea centers on managing a world that can be rearranged during play. The winner is the player who obtains the required amulets.
