About this board game

Die Patin is a mafia-themed board game for 2–5 players, with sessions lasting around 150 minutes. Set in the tough streets of Beasty Town, it puts players in the roles of underground mafia bosses competing for prestige, influence, territory, and loot.

The city’s major families are locked in a dispute, and every boss wants to expand their reach. With the help of henchmen and a supply of bribe money, players bring one district after another under their control. Vassals are essential to this struggle, but they come at a price—and loyal vassals cost even more.

Holding territory is only part of the challenge. Conquering a new district can be just as easy as losing one again, so the placement of your guards matters. Position them poorly, and your family may become an easy target for an opponent’s next move.

  • Compete as mafia bosses in Beasty Town.
  • Expand your territory and fill your coffers with loot.
  • Use henchmen, bribe money, and vassals to strengthen your influence.
  • Plan raids and choose the right moment to go on the offensive.

Die Patin rewards players who balance ambition with careful planning. Expanding too quickly can leave your districts vulnerable, while a well-timed raid can shift the balance between the rival families.

The player who plans their raids best and attacks at the right moment will rise above the competition and become Beasty Town’s new overlady.
