About this board game

Dingo’s Dreams is a delightful family game for 2–4 players with a play time of about 30 minutes. Each player races to guide their animal through a shifting dream world and lead it home.

At the start of the game, every player receives a randomly arranged 5×5 grid of 25 dreamscape tiles, plus one extra tile showing their animal. The opposite side of every dreamscape tile also shows that animal, creating a constantly changing landscape as play continues.

  • Random card draws: Each turn, a card identifies the tile players should flip.
  • Sliding rows and columns: An extra animal tile enters the dreamscape, shifting a row or column and pushing a different tile out the opposite side.
  • Changing objectives: The required animal pattern is different each game.

After a card is drawn, a player slides their extra animal tile into the dreamscape. The tile that emerges is then used to shift another row or column on the next turn, so every move can alter the arrangement and open a new route through the dreamscape.

The goal is to position the animal in the specified pattern. As soon as one player’s tiles match the goal, they shout their animal’s name—such as “Dingo!”—to win the round.

For a greater challenge, Hazard Tokens can be added. With the advanced rules, completing the required dream pattern is not enough: the animal may not be placed in any hazard space marked on the dream card. With its random setup, sliding-grid movement, and race to match the objective, Dingo’s Dreams offers a clever test of spatial planning.
