About this board game

Dinosaur Table Battles is a two-player dinosaur combat game with 45-minute play sessions, released in 2020. Players draft teams of dinosaurs, roll dice, and assign those dice to cards representing their fighting forces.

Removing dice from a card triggers an attack, but the opposing player may be able to respond by removing dice from a card with a reaction. A reaction can absorb, block, or counter the attack. If a reaction is available, it must be used—and reacting means you cannot attack on your next turn.

This makes tempo the heart of every confrontation. Players must weigh the immediate value of launching an attack against the consequences of forcing or accepting a reaction, looking for opportunities to disrupt the opponent’s plans while protecting their own forces.

• Roll dice and assign them to cards representing your forces.
• Trigger attacks by removing dice from cards.
• Absorb, block, or counter attacks with available reactions.
• Draft dinosaur teams with different combinations of attacks, reactions, and special abilities.

Each dinosaur is large enough to span two or three cards, giving it an assortment of attacks, reactions, and rule-breaking special abilities. During setup, the team draft creates unique synergies to exploit and disadvantages to mitigate.

With more than 900,000 different matches possible, Dinosaur Table Battles offers a broad range of team combinations and tactical situations. Success depends on mastering the timing of dice removal, attacks, reactions, and the turns that follow.
