About this board game
Disc Duelers is a flicking action game for 2–21 players that plays in about 45 minutes. Players draft teams of 3–5 characters, then use their character discs to move, attack, and compete across a table filled with everyday objects as terrain.
Each of the 52 characters has a card and a matching disc. Character cards show ratings for movement and attacks, along with a special ability. These ratings determine how many times a character may move and attack whenever it is activated, giving each team different options during play.
On a turn, a player activates one character and flicks its disc to move or attack. A moving disc that hits terrain takes no damage, while hitting another disc deals one damage to the active character. An attacking disc takes damage when it hits terrain and deals damage when it strikes another character’s disc.
- Knocking a disc into terrain or off the table causes an additional point of damage.
- A character is eliminated after taking five points of damage.
- Optional item cards can be acquired during play to provide additional actions.
Disc Duelers includes several ways to play. Classic elimination focuses on removing opposing characters, while point capture awards points for eliminations and returns defeated characters to action. Other options turn the table into a soccer or volleyball pitch, using a neutral disc as the ball, or create a race.
The game can be played on any flat surface, with a four-foot-square table recommended. With character drafting, physical terrain, and multiple play options, Disc Duelers combines tactical choices with precise disc flicking.
