Dixit: Disney Edition

About this board game

Dixit: Disney Edition is a 3–6-player storytelling and guessing game with a 30-minute play time, released in 2023. It features 84 cards, each representing a film from the Disney or Pixar catalog, from Steamboat Willie to Turning Red.

Each turn, one player becomes the storyteller. They choose one of the six cards in their hand and create a sentence inspired by its image, saying the sentence aloud without showing the card.

Every other player then selects a card from their own hand that best matches the storyteller’s sentence. These cards are given to the storyteller secretly. The storyteller shuffles all received cards together with their own card and reveals the complete set.

Players other than the storyteller secretly vote for the card they believe belongs to the storyteller. The scoring rewards clues that are suggestive without making the answer too obvious:

• If nobody or everybody guesses correctly, the storyteller scores 0 points and every other player scores 2 points.
• Otherwise, the storyteller and each player who identified the correct card score 3 points.
• Players also score 1 point for every vote received by their submitted card.

The game ends when the deck is empty or when a player reaches at least 30 points. The player with the highest score wins.

With its Disney and Pixar film catalog, Dixit: Disney Edition combines imaginative clues, concealed card choices, and deduction in a compact game built around interpreting images and judging how others think.
