Dixit: Quest

About this expansion

Dixit: Quest is a 30-minute storytelling and voting game for 3–6 players, featuring 84 new painting cards for the Dixit series. It can be combined with the base game, Dixit: Journey, or Dixit: Odyssey.

In each round, one player becomes the Storyteller. They choose a card from their hand and give a story or clue. Every other player secretly selects a card from their own hand and gives it to the Storyteller, who shuffles all the cards before revealing them.

Players then vote on which revealed card belongs to the Storyteller. The aim is to give a clue that is neither too obvious nor too difficult to identify: if nobody or everybody chooses the Storyteller’s card, the Storyteller receives no points. If it receives some, but not all, votes, the Storyteller scores three points.

• Players who correctly identify the Storyteller’s card score points.
• A player also scores when another player votes for the card they submitted.
• The first player to reach 30 points wins.

Dixit: Quest contains 84 cards with new paintings. The cards can be used on their own, although a standalone game requires voting tokens plus paper and a pencil for recording scores.

This expansion does not include the scoring board or scoring tokens found in the base game. Instead, it comes in a smaller box that is easier to take on a trip, while the components needed to use it with the base game are already included there.
