About this board game

Dog Poker is a 15-minute card game for 2–4 players about collecting seven types of Inu Cards and pursuing the highest score.

Each Inu Card type is identified by a letter from A to G. On every play, all players simultaneously leave the card they want to keep and pass their other cards to the person on the left. This creates a quick cycle of choices as you decide what to retain and what to hand onward.

The scoring conditions are released one by one, so players must watch how the scoring develops while building their hands. Aim for the highest points possible, balancing your current choices with the information revealed during play.

  • For 2–4 players
  • Approximately 15 minutes to play
  • Seven Inu Card types, labeled A–G
  • Simultaneous card selection and leftward passing
  • Included score sheet for recording points

Dog Poker belongs to the “Animal Poker” series as its second title, following “Neko.” It changes the player-count rules used in draft poker when playing with 2 or 3 people, and it adds newly included round rules and a score sheet.

With its simultaneous decisions, changing card holdings, and progressively revealed scoring conditions, Dog Poker offers a compact test of timing and collection. Keep the cards you want, pass the others left, and work toward the strongest-scoring hand before the game ends.
