Dogfight! is a two-player game of First World War biplane combat that plays in around 20 minutes, with solo play also supported in the game’s player range. Each player commands a rival aviator and attempts to maneuver behind the opposing biplane before opening fire.

Players secretly choose a tile behind their player screens, then reveal their choices simultaneously. Each biplane moves a number of spaces equal to the value on the selected tile, and some tiles also feature hit icons. The duel lasts up to three rounds, unless one biplane is shot down sooner.

Movement follows the arrows around the white path, although the Looping the Loop maneuver provides an exception. Each circle counts as one space, while the colors on certain spaces influence shooting. Biplanes can pass one another or finish in the same space, creating opportunities for a sudden change of position.
