About this expansion

Doomlings: Imaginary Ends is a 2024 game for 2–6 players with a listed play time of 45 minutes, featuring magical trinkets and four unusual groups of Trait cards.

Magical Merchants smuggle trinkets into the Age pile, offering powers that may be less impressive than promised. Each trinket also has an objective: complete it to pocket the card and score extra points. When you want something new, another “magical” merchant may be nearby with a fresh offer.

The Deeplings introduce the suppress mechanic. Suppressed cards are placed face-down beneath a trait in your trait pile; each is worth 1 point, while not counting as a trait. This lets you grow in power while keeping your trait pile small.

Glitterlings bring a chance-focused approach, where the right luck can create major new combinations. Moonlings make you play with fewer cards, but they can also let you give unwanted cards to opponents and reward you for having a lower Gene Pool.

  • Magical Merchants: 11 Trait cards and 40 Trinket cards.
  • Deeplings: 18 Trait cards, 2 Age cards, and 1 Catastrophe card.
  • Glitterlings: 18 Trait cards, 2 Age cards, and 1 Catastrophe card.
  • Moonlings: 18 Trait cards, 2 Age cards, and 1 Catastrophe card.
  • Fuzelings: 10 Trait cards, 2 Age cards, and 1 Catastrophe card.

Fuzelings combine elements from the Deeplings, Glitterlings, and Moonlings. They can help you gain bigger bonuses from Drop of Life effects and trigger new combos, adding another way to connect the game’s distinctive mechanics.

With objective-driven trinkets, hidden suppressed cards, chance-based combinations, and shifting card-pool advantages, Doomlings: Imaginary Ends offers a colorful collection of surprises to explore.
