About this board game

Dracula vs Van Helsing is a two-player board game with an approximately 45-minute play time, released in 2023. One player controls Dracula, while the other takes the role of Professor Van Helsing in a renewed confrontation in Whitby, England.

Van Helsing must remove all of Dracula’s life points to win. Dracula has a different path to victory: convert all four inhabitants of the same district into vampires before the vampire hunter can stop him. The game lasts for a maximum of five rounds, creating a clear race toward one of these two conditions.

At the start of each turn, the active player draws a card. They may discard it or swap it with one of the five cards on their rack, triggering the discarded card’s ability. The game includes eight card types, each with its own effect, so every choice can influence the cards that remain in play and the outcome of the next round.

• Dracula plays first in every round.
• Each rack contains five cards, with every card corresponding to one of the five districts on the board.
• A player may call for the end of the round instead of drawing, but only when at least six cards are in the discard pile.

After one player calls for the round to end, the opponent takes one final turn. If nobody ends the round this way, it concludes when the deck is empty. The players then compare their five rack cards district by district.

When Dracula’s card has the higher value in a district, one human there becomes a vampire. When Van Helsing’s card is higher, Dracula loses a health point. Dracula vs Van Helsing combines hand management, card abilities, and simultaneous pressure on the game board in a focused duel between hunter and vampire.
