Draftosaurus: Goodie Tile

About this expansion

Draftosaurus: Goodie Tile is a special Zoo expansion for 2–5 players, designed for a 15-minute game and released in 2020. It includes five tiles, allowing each player to add a new Pen to their Zoo.

At the start of the game, place the new Pen on top of another Pen in your Zoo. Choose either the Summer Side or the Winter Side, with each side adding a distinct challenge and scoring opportunity.

• Summer Side: Place the tile on The Woody Trio. You may put as many dinosaurs as you like in this Pen, but each new dinosaur must be stacked on top of the previous one. Only the first dinosaur may touch the ground, and laying dinosaurs on their sides is forbidden.
• Winter Side: Place the tile on The Lookout. You can put two different dinosaur species in this Pen. At the end of the game, every Pen in your Zoo containing these two species, including the new Pen, earns 3 additional victory points.

The Summer Side creates a deliberately precarious pile. If it collapses, all dinosaurs that fell are placed in the River. If the pile remains, each dinosaur in it is worth 3 victory points at the end of the game.

The Winter Side rewards a broader Zoo strategy by making the selected pair of species valuable wherever they appear. Draftosaurus: Goodie Tile therefore gives players a choice between testing their stacking skill for potentially rewarding dinosaur piles and building matching species combinations for extra points.
