About this board game

Dragon Keeper: The Dungeon is a tile-collection game for 2–4 players that plays in about 30 minutes. As a dragon’s keeper, you must remove invading adventurers from the dungeon while avoiding members of your former guild.

The game features tiles in five colors, each with different values. Your secret guild is represented by one of these colors, and every tile you collect in that color gives you negative points. The other colors can help build your final score, but collecting them requires careful choices.

On your turn, take one tile for yourself and give another tile to a different player. The dragon’s position determines which tiles are available: the tile you choose must be in the dragon’s line or column. Afterward, move the dragon to the space left by the removed tile, changing the options for the next decision.

  • Collect tiles while managing five colors and different values.
  • Keep your guild color secret from the other players.
  • Choose tiles according to the dragon’s current line or column.
  • Give a tile to another player every turn.

Players stack their collected tiles by color throughout the game. At the end, the tallest stack is removed. If that stack matches a player’s guild color, that player must discard their next-tallest stack instead.

After this final removal, players add the values of their remaining tiles. The player with the most points wins. With its shifting tile availability, secret negative color, and forced tile-sharing decisions, Dragon Keeper: The Dungeon turns every choice into a question of what to keep, what to give away, and what the dragon will reveal next.
