DUOS

About this board game

DUOS is a picture-pairing game for 2–6 players with a playing time of about 45 minutes. You are shown twelve cards from a selected image category and challenged to create four pairs from eight of them.

The challenge is not simply to find combinations that make sense to you. You must also consider how the other players will think. When another player creates the same pair as you, that shared choice scores, making prediction and common expectations central to the game.

DUOS is available in editions featuring different kinds of imagery. Depending on the edition, the categories are:

• Things and animals
• Sports and fairy tales

Each category includes more than one hundred images, providing a broad collection of pictures for making connections. From the twelve cards presented, select eight and arrange them into four pairs, weighing both obvious associations and the possibilities that other players may see.

With its focus on shared ideas, DUOS turns picture pairing into a test of prediction. The most apparent pair may not always be the best choice if the other players are likely to make different connections, so every selection invites you to think beyond your own interpretation.
