Dwarves of Aquilon

About this board game

Dwarves of Aquilon is a board game for 2–5 players, with games lasting about 45 minutes, set in the lands of Arran. Players compete to attract distinctive dwarves from five different Orders, using careful coin management and strategic bidding to gain an advantage.

Each dwarf has special skills, giving every character a role in your plans. To bring the right dwarves to your service, you must manage your coins well and outbid your opponents when competition is fierce. Building your wealth is also important, creating a long-term advantage as the game unfolds.

The available Orders each offer a different identity:

• Shield
• Forge
• Temple
• Retaliation
• Wanderer

These varied Orders and character abilities invite players to look for new combinations and adapt their approach from game to game. Deciding when to spend, when to preserve your wealth, and which dwarves are worth pursuing is central to the competition.

Dwarves of Aquilon marries the gameplay of Nidavellir with the comic serial universe of Dwarves, created by author Nicolas Jarry and published by Éditions Soleil. The result challenges players to discover new strategies and new ways to score while competing for the support of the dwarves of Arran.
