About this board game
Eastern Front: A Panzer Grenadier Game is a two-player game with an estimated play time of 120 minutes, reprinting and substantially expanding the original Panzer Grenadier.
This edition includes a revised version of the rules, updated artwork, and twice as much playing area to choose from, with the move from four maps to eight maps. It also brings together the original 50 scenarios and 62 new scenarios, creating a total of 112 scenarios.
The German forces now include two full squadrons of cavalry in addition to infantry. A new unit type, the prime mover, introduces tracked and semi-tracked vehicles such as the Soviet Komsomolets and German SdKfz-7. Prime movers perform better off-road than standard trucks, but cannot carry infantry.
The Soviet forces receive a particularly substantial overhaul. Their expanded selection includes new artillery pieces, such as the 107 mm cannon and 76.2 mm mountain gun, along with anti-tank rifle platoons, a new mixed infantry type, and additional armored cars.
- FAI and Ba6 armored cars join the Ba10m.
- The Soviet forces feature a large selection of tanks.
- The Romanian army is represented for the first time in this edition.
- The scenario collection combines 50 original scenarios with 62 new ones.
With its expanded forces, revised rules, refreshed presentation, and broad scenario collection, Eastern Front: A Panzer Grenadier Game offers a significantly enhanced version of the original design.
