About this board game

Edgar & Lucien is a strategy game for 2–4 players, played in about 75 minutes, in which an unlikely duo seeks control of the city of Fosko.

Each player manages two characters: Lucien, a wooden political figure loved by the people and envied by his peers, and Edgar, a sly and cunning human ready to arrange all kinds of shenanigans. Together, they must build a legend while competing against rival pairs.

Players secretly and simultaneously program the movement of both characters, then carry out the action for each one. Move from district to district as you pursue your plans, while trying to keep your intentions hidden from opponents for as long as possible.

• Lucien rallies the people and extends his influence across the board.
• Edgar chases other Luciens and attempts to set up shenanigans.
• Victory comes from combining three of four available victory conditions.

The available paths measure your ability to extend your influence, make a lot of money, and become popular with the people. Choose whether your rise will focus on wealth, power, or a combination of both, and decide how much interference to bring into the plans of the other players.

With its simultaneous decisions and dual-character management, Edgar & Lucien challenges you to coordinate your pair while anticipating everyone else’s schemes. Find your own route to the top and take over Fosko.
