About this board game

El Club de los Martes is a narrative deduction game for 3–6 players that challenges a group of armchair detectives to solve a mysterious crime in 60 minutes.

One player becomes the host, presenting a case whose solution is known only to them. The other players investigate by asking questions, gathering information, and using the special abilities of their dramatic characters. Through perception, intuition, logic, and creative thinking, the detectives gradually reconstruct the crime.

Every question and piece of information has a cost, with each player beginning the game with £15 paid into a common pool. Proposing a solution is even more expensive, and failed attempts can benefit the other players economically. This gives the investigation a competitive edge while the mystery itself depends on information collected by the whole group.

  • Host versus detectives: one player sets the enigma while the others attempt to solve it.
  • Question-driven investigation: ask carefully chosen questions to uncover the truth.
  • Economic decisions: spend limited money on information and solutions.
  • Time pressure: solve the case within one hour, or nobody wins.

The player holding the first-player token starts each round, but passing means losing the token to the next player. Although only one detective can win, success relies on the group’s shared discoveries, creating a distinctive blend of cooperation and competition.

Inspired by Agatha Christie’s The Tuesday Club Murders, El Club de los Martes turns a classic detective-story gathering into an interactive contest of wit, questioning, and deduction.
