About this board game
El Paso is a 2009 board game for 2–5 players that takes about 45 minutes to play. Across seven splendid towns, players compete as outlaws, choosing targets, gathering stolen goods, and converting their hauls into money.
On each turn, every outlaw decides which town to aim for. Rival players can easily get in one another’s way, making each choice matter as you try to profit while competing for the same opportunities.
The longer an outlaw remains in a town, the more stolen goods they can carry to the next town. Those goods can then be turned into cold cash, but waiting too long carries a serious danger: the sheriff may catch you before you can escape.

- Balance a larger haul against the risk of the sheriff.
Success in El Paso depends on more than making a fat haul. You must also make sure your stolen goods become money, while judging when it is safer to move on and when a longer stay is worth the risk.
After leaving the seventh town, the outlaw with the most money wins. With its direct choices, competing targets, and constant tension between reward and danger, El Paso offers a focused race to become the bandit who cannot be beaten.
