About this board game
Emergency Exit Only is a 15-minute tile-laying game for 2–5 players, in which you must navigate a building’s concrete maze and reach the exit before discovering that your route is a dead end.
Players take turns placing tiles to advance toward escape. The challenge is that tiles are played on top of one another, putting your spatial visualization skills to the test while the route becomes increasingly difficult to track.
As the escape unfolds, you must memorize the path you are creating. When you believe you are lost or that the route has reached a dead end, you can play your Lost tile. Deciding when to use it is part of the panic as everyone tries to find a way through the building.
- Play tiles on top of each other while advancing toward the exit.
- Use spatial visualization and memory to follow the hidden escape route.
- Play a Lost tile when you think you are lost or facing a dead end.
- Lay out the route at the end of the round to discover who survived and score points.
At the end of each round, the escape route is laid out so players can check who successfully made it through. Those who survived score points, turning the reveal into a test of both memory and judgment.
Then a new round begins with one more constraint, increasing the pressure and adding even more panic to the table. With its compact play time and unusual stacking mechanism, Emergency Exit Only creates a tense race to remember your way out.
