Empyreal: As Above, So Below is a 2020 expansion for Empyreal: Spells & Steam that supports 1–8 players and a 75-minute play time. It adds a solo mode, expands the player count by two, and introduces new specialist and spellcar tiles.

The expansion’s solo experience is powered by an automata deck. This provides a dedicated way to play Empyreal: Spells & Steam alone, extending the game for players who want a one-player option alongside its multiplayer format.
