About this board game

Encantados is a 45-minute card game for 2–4 players in which gardeners populate their gardens with magical creatures. Fairies, leprechauns, gnomes, goblins, Kobolds, and the Troll each bring a special ability that can help you or disturb your opponents.

The game is played over a series of rounds. On alternate turns, players buy a new card and may play one Song and one set of cards showing the same magical creature. To play a creature set, you need three matching cards in your hand. Once played, these creatures provide passive bonuses that shape the rest of the round.

As players build their gardens and use their creatures’ powers, the tension grows. When one or more players empty their hand, the round ends and points are counted. The first player to reach a score of 100 or higher by the end of a round wins.

The second and third edition use a single deck and cards as the only components. The second edition also introduces the Troll, while Mandragora is no longer included. Two copies can be used for games of up to six players, with the variant rules provided in the rulebook.
