About this board game

Encantados is a 2016 filler card game for 2–6 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. Each player takes the role of a gardener trying to populate a garden with magical creatures while building a score of 100 or more.

Play unfolds over a series of rounds. On alternate turns, players buy a new card and may play one Song and one set of cards showing the same magical creature. A set requires three creatures of a kind in your hand, and once played, those creatures provide a passive bonus.

Every race has a special ability that can help its owner or disturb a friend or opposing team. The available creatures include:

• Fairies
• Leprechauns
• Gnomes
• Goblins
• Kobolds

The round ends when one or more players empty their hand, after which points are counted. If a player’s score reaches 100 or higher at the end of a round, that player wins.

Encantados balances simple mechanics with replayability and a playful atmosphere. Its accessible turn structure gives players clear choices while the race abilities create opportunities to help themselves or interfere with others. Neat art adds to the game’s appeal, making it suitable for players looking for a light, magical card game.

This edition is a reimplementation with an expanded player count, new races, and new cards from Plato 3000, offering the original concept in a broader format for groups of up to six.
