About this board game
Entropy is a competitive card game of risk, deception, and action management for 2–6 players, with a play time of about 15 minutes.
Five parallel worlds have collided, creating a Nexus where time and space are folded together. Each player takes the role of one of five characters, jettisoned from their own world and searching for fragments of their reality. Your goal is to be the first player to piece your reality back together and find a way home.
Every turn, players secretly select an action card. Once everyone is ready, the chosen cards are revealed simultaneously. Actions are then resolved according to their initiative values, with value 1 going first.
- Secret selection: Choose an action without revealing your intentions.
- Simultaneous reveal: All selected action cards are shown at the same time.
- Temporal clashes: If two or more players choose the same action, everyone involved in that clash loses the opportunity to resolve it.
- Character abilities: Use unique abilities and special actions while pursuing your reality fragments.
After four actions have been played, the game enters a temporal reset phase. All cards in the discard pile are shuffled back into the Nexus deck, while players return their played action cards to their hands before a new round begins.
Entropy combines hidden decisions, timing, and the uncertainty of rival choices in a compact card game. Play continues until one player has revealed all four fragments from their character’s reality, claiming the race back home.
