Escape the Dark Castle: Adventure Pack 2 – Scourge of the Undead Queen is a 2018 adventure pack for 1–4 players, with a play time of 45 minutes. It introduces the Companions mechanic to the Escape the Dark Castle system.

During a quest, prisoners may encounter event cards in the item deck that trigger the arrival of one of these characters. Companions join up with the prisoners to assist in their escape, bringing new possibilities to the adventure.

Fans of roleplaying games may recognize Companions as NPCs, or non-player characters. Each one has a unique mixture of traits and a special ability, giving every arrival a distinct presence in the quest.
