Escape the Dark Sector is a cooperative sci-fi adventure game for 1–4 players, played in about 45–60 minutes. Designed for newcomers to tabletop gaming, it combines atmospheric storytelling, shared decisions, and straightforward dice-and-card challenges.

Players take the roles of a beleaguered crew whose starship has been impounded. Confined to the detention block of a vast space station, they must use advanced gear and weaponry to find their ship and blast their way home.

The journey unfolds through a series of large, beautifully illustrated chapter cards. Each card presents a different danger, trap, or terror, from cyborg guards and faulty replicators to killer alien organisms. As the chapters are revealed, the game becomes a shared storybook experience in which the crew decides what to do before attempting each challenge.
