About this board game
Estate: Raise the Realm is a worker-placement reconstruction game for 1–5 players, with a play time of about 100 minutes. Set after the Great War, it places each player in the role of a Noble Leader rebuilding an inherited Estate across five Eras.
Each Leader begins with resources, a special ability, a unique combination of construction and citizen cards, a Family Secret objective, and workers ready to restore the realm. Every decision matters as you develop your Estate, improve your options, and work toward valuable victory points.
During each Era, players take turns placing one worker at a time. Workers can be used to play Estate Cards, gather resources from the central game board, produce on cards already in the Estate, draw new cards, or take an available Era or Progress action.
- Play Estate Cards to expand your Noble, Production, and Commoner tracks.
- Produce on cards in your growing Estate to gain resources, cards, and other effects.
- Draw cards from the Market or Estate deck to find new citizens and constructions.
- Take board actions as your progress unlocks access to later Eras.
At the start of each Era, an Era Event introduces an effect that lasts for that Era and reveals a public Era Objective. Players compete for rewards, with victory points and useful cards or resources awarded at the end of the Era.
When all workers have been placed, End of Era effects activate before the board is reset. Resources accumulate, the Market refreshes, workers return, and Leader abilities reset for the next stage. In Estate: Raise the Realm, careful planning, powerful production, your Leader’s special ability, and your Family Secret can shape your rise to power.
