About this board game

Et Toque! is a creative menu-building game for 3–6 players that takes about 30 minutes to play. Each round, every player becomes a chef with a secret dinner theme to interpret.

Players receive an erasable magnetic board, a marker, and a dozen magnetic ingredient tiles. They also secretly receive a menu theme card describing the dinner they must prepare, such as a feast for vampires, dinner in the savannah, or a meal for hippies.

Using the ingredients in front of them, players create a meal plan with at least four tiles. The plan can contain any number of dishes, giving each chef room to arrange their ingredients into a menu that suggests their hidden theme.

• Use random magnetic ingredient tiles to build your menu.
• Add connecting words with the marker to embellish your dishes.
• Do not write nouns or adjectives.
• Keep your dinner theme secret while composing your plan.

Once all menus are complete, the theme cards are collected and shuffled before being laid out on the table. Everyone then reveals their menus, and all players vote on which menu matches each theme.

That final guessing phase makes every choice matter: the ingredients and connecting words must communicate the intended dinner without giving the answer away. With its erasable boards, magnetic tiles, secret themes, and shared voting, Et Toque! turns menu design into a playful challenge of interpretation.
