Europa Universalis: Defying Destiny is a board game for 1–6 players with an approximately 300-minute play time, inviting you to explore realms that were not featured in the base game.

This experience zooms in on a wide range of new Realms across the Europa Universalis timeline. Some take center stage after 1444, while others represent powers that had great potential but collapsed or faded from history for various reasons.

Other featured Realms played important roles throughout the timeline without ever achieving the status of great powers. In Defying Destiny, these realms receive the opportunity to pursue the glory they may have deserved.

• Revisit realms whose potential was cut short by collapse or decline.
• Give historically significant but never-great-power realms a chance to change their fate.
