About this board game
Exhibition: 20th Century is a board game for 1–5 players, with playing time of about 50 minutes, in which you build the best exhibition about the 20th century.
The game features 100 object cards, one for every year from 1900 through 1999. The collection includes items and events such as the first Oscar award statue, the first bikini, the flight recorder, Rubik’s Cube, Euro coins, and the last Tasmanian Tiger. Each object belongs to one of six regions, represented by continent colors, while one 1945 world card acts as a special joker with positive and negative effects.
At the center of the table, available objects are arranged in six groups of three, with one group at each continent. On your turn, take one of the three cards at the continent where your zeppelin stands. You then move the zeppelin to the continent shown on the card, refill the open space with a random card from the stock, and place the object in one of the five showcases in your exhibition hall—or in your depot.
- Collect objects spanning every year of the 20th century.
- Manage cards associated with North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and Oceania.
- Arrange objects to meet general and showcase-specific requirements.
- Pursue individual and competitive goals for victory points.
Choosing where to place each object is central to your exhibition. Some goals can be fulfilled during the game, while others affect the end score, and players compete for the best results. The game ends when no player can fit a card into their exhibition anymore.
With its year-by-year collection and continent-based card movement, Exhibition: 20th Century turns historical objects into a focused exhibition-building challenge.
