About this board game
Fall is a two-player board game played in about 30 minutes, where opponents create a shared autumn ecosystem and compete through different scoring objectives.
Autumn transforms the forest into a vivid environment of fall flowers, mushrooms, deciduous leaves, and woodland wildlife. As the robin signals the approaching cold, the hoopoe prepares for nocturnal migration, the fox grows its winter coat, and toads gather in humid areas of the grove.
Both players place leaf tiles in the same environment, gradually growing the forest and creating space for its flora, fauna, and funga. Because you build a single tableau together, every placement contributes to a landscape that must serve your plans while potentially helping your opponent.
Each player scores according to different objectives, but those conditions remain unknown until the end of the game. The scoring cards vary from player to player in every game, making it important to observe the developing ecosystem and infer what your opponent may be pursuing.
- Fox scoring cards
- Bird scoring cards
- Flower scoring cards
During Fall, try to understand your opponent’s strategy and counteract it, turning shared opportunities in your favor. The combination of a common tableau and variable scoring opportunities creates a focused contest of reading, adaptation, and careful tile placement.
