About this board game
Family Fluxx is a 55-card game for 2–6 players that plays in about 30 minutes. In this changing-rule card game, the cards determine the current rules, including how players draw, play, and win.
At the beginning, each player holds three cards. On a turn, a player draws one card and then plays one card. These straightforward actions can quickly transform the game as new rules enter play and alter the way everyone approaches the table.
New Rules can change how many cards players draw or play, how many cards they may keep in hand, and how many cards they can maintain in front of them. Most importantly, the rules can change the conditions required to win, so the route to victory is always subject to change.
- New Rules that reshape drawing, playing, hand limits, and table limits
- Actions that add further ways to influence the game
- Keepers such as the House, Playground, Tree, Dog, Cat, Mouse, Cheese, and Rain
- Goals that define how the game can be won
This version is slimmed down to the fundamental New Rules and Actions while featuring an entirely new selection of Keepers and Goals. The result is a focused take on the Fluxx system, where adapting to the latest rule changes is central to every turn.
As the game develops, players must respond to the rules currently in play and look for a way to satisfy the active winning condition. With its constantly shifting structure and family-themed cards, Family Fluxx offers a dynamic card game experience in which the next play can change almost everything.
