About this board game

Fantasy Defense is a challenging card game for 1–2 players, playable solo or cooperatively, with a play time of about 15 minutes. Released in 2017, it puts you in command of a city under siege by invading orcs.

Your objective is to discard the entire orc deck before your kingdom’s power is reduced to zero. Play your cards at the city’s seven gates to defend against the attackers, carefully managing the limited units available to you.

Every battle carries a cost. Even when you repel an attack, there will be casualties on your side, while each attack you fail to stop decreases your kingdom’s morale and brings oblivion closer.

Victory requires more than simply playing cards quickly. You must choose where and when to commit your forces, balancing immediate defenses against the need to survive the continuing invasion. A single poor decision can leave another gate exposed.

As you reach milestones in Fantasy Defense, hidden features become available. Powerful units may join your cause, devastating foes can enter the battle, and special rules may twist the challenge in new directions.
