Fire in the Lake: Tru’ng Bot Update Pack is a solitaire system for one player that adds sophisticated non-player control to the full Fire in the Lake game.

Named for the legendary Tru’ng sisters, Tru’ng follows the card-based bot approach first developed for Gandhi. It is quick to use and easy to implement, while remaining capable of playing any Fire in the Lake faction through the complete game.

When a non-player faction selects Operations or Special Activities, draw from its dedicated Tru’ng deck. Each faction has six double-sided operations cards, and every card evaluates the current state of play before choosing an appropriate action. A single faction-specific table then determines where that action takes place, whether it is an Operation, Special Activity, or Event.

Tru’ng is designed to feel responsive and unpredictable, pursuing enemies while remaining aware of its ally. It can also make decisions normally limited to human players, such as choosing a Limited Operation to block an opponent’s Event.

The pack includes 24 double-sided operations cards, a non-player aid card, instructions, a rulebook, and a reference booklet. It is compatible with both the First and Second Edition of Fire in the Lake, as well as the Second Edition Upgrade Kit. Tru’ng can also be combined with Fall of Saigon to support solitaire play across the broader scope of the Vietnam War, while remaining distinct from that game’s separate solitaire system.
