About this expansion

Fleet: Inuit Fisherman is an 8-card expansion for Fleet, designed for 2–4 players and released in 2012.

These cards introduce the Inuit Fisherman, representing the Inuit, the native people of Nunavut, Canada. With the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement Act in place, Inuit fishermen can fish in Ridback Bay without a license while still receiving all of its benefits.

The defining feature of the Inuit Fisherman is his exceptional flexibility. He does not require a license to launch, and no captain is needed. This gives players an additional way to launch and fish while changing the requirements normally associated with those actions.

Despite these reduced requirements, the Inuit Fisherman still catches fish and counts toward all applicable bonuses. His contribution remains fully relevant to the game’s scoring and reward structure, including launch, captain, and victory point bonuses.

  • 8 Inuit Fisherman cards
  • No license required to launch
  • No captain required
  • Still catches fish
  • Counts toward launch, captain, and VP bonuses

As a direct addition to Fleet, this card set provides extra strategy and flexibility without standing apart from the core game. The Inuit Fisherman can help players work around license and captain requirements while continuing to benefit from applicable bonuses.

Fleet: Inuit Fisherman is a focused expansion for players who want another strategic option in Ridback Bay. Add the cards to Fleet for a compact rules addition that expands how fishing and bonuses can work together.
