Flip City

About this board game

Flip City is a micro-deckbuilding game for 1–4 players, with play taking about 50 minutes. Build your own town by playing cards directly from the top of your deck—without ever holding a hand.

Every card is double-sided, and each side provides different special bonuses. During your turn, play cards to gain cash and victory points, continuing as long as you have fewer than three unhappiness icons in play.

• Play cards directly from the top of your deck.
• Use cash to buy a new card or flip one you already own.
• Transform cards into upgraded versions with different benefits.
• Win immediately by gaining eight or more victory points in a single turn.

Stopping before reaching three unhappiness icons lets you spend your cash. You can expand your deck with a new card or flip an existing card, changing it into its upgraded side.

Upgraded cards typically provide more cash and victory points. They can also offer the option to flip back to their non-upgraded side in exchange for an extra one-time bonus, creating important choices about when to change your cards.

Flip City combines delicate strategy with some luck. Decide how far to push your turn, when to stop, and how to use each double-sided card while working toward the immediate eight-point victory condition.
