About this board game

Food Truck Champion is a board game for 1–5 players with a play time of about 75 minutes, first released in 2017. Each player runs a new food truck, hiring staff, preparing meals, and serving customers to earn popularity and become the Food Truck Champion.

The game uses a lead-follow action system centered on the different jobs involved in running a food truck. Your chosen role determines which part of the business you can access, while additional staff can make future actions more effective.

• Driver: Visit the market to acquire ingredients and store them in your fridge.
• Cashier: Access customer orders waiting to be prepared and served.
• Prep Cook: Move ingredients from your fridge to customer orders.
• Executive Chef: Play ingredients directly from your hand onto an order.
• Manager: Hire additional Drivers, Cashiers, Cooks, and Chefs from the labor pool.

As the owner, you also have a special wild card that can be taken into your hand and used to act in any capacity when needed. At the beginning, your truck has a small fridge, a narrow plating area, and limited staff space, so each upgrade matters.

Every completed order earns a popularity token worth victory points and lets you expand one area of your truck—or increase your hand limit. At certain points, judges review your completed orders and let you move selected cards into your awards area. Completing sets of awards provides bonus victory points.

When a set number of popularity tokens has been claimed, the game ends. The player with the most victory points wins, making Food Truck Champion a focused challenge of staffing, ingredients, orders, and timely expansion.
