About this board game
Force of Will is a two-player card game that plays in about 30 minutes, in which players build decks around a chosen Ruler and battle to reduce an opponent’s life from 4000 to 0.
Set in Valhalla, a land shaped by five Elements and torn by an ancient war between Gods and Demons, the game places players in a struggle powered by pacts, summoned souls, and opposing beliefs. Each player selects a Ruler to represent them, then builds a deck around that character.
Players also prepare a separate deck containing 10–20 Magic Stone cards. During a turn, cards are drawn and played to the field, allowing players to develop their forces, support their own cards, and interfere with their opponent’s plans.
- Magic Stones: Produce Will, which pays the costs of other cards.
- Resonators: Creatures summoned to help attack and defeat the opponent.
- Spells: Effects that support Resonators or hinder opposing ones.
- Additions: Enchantments or enhancements that strengthen your Resonators or weaken your opponent’s.
The central objective is direct: attack until the opposing player’s life reaches zero. However, victory can also come when an opponent cannot draw a card during the compulsory draw in the Draw Phase, giving deck management an important role alongside combat.
With its Ruler-led deck construction, resource-producing Magic Stones, and range of battlefield effects, Force of Will offers a focused head-to-head contest in which every card contributes to the fight for a new path through Valhalla.
