About this board game

FREAKFACE!!! is a tactical hex-and-counter horror game for 2–10 players, with sessions lasting about 120 minutes. Set in a small Florida town in October 1963, it follows Vaughn and Lucinda as they enter Lucian the Powerful’s Tremendous Tent of Monstrosity to uncover the truth behind a series of disappearances.

This is a horror simulation experience designed to recreate a terrifying night rather than deliver a perfectly balanced contest. The game begins in favor of the diabolic character, who can destroy ill-prepared kids. Finding items, hiding, and alerting possible neutral characters may help the kids turn the tables—but some neutral characters may be sinister themselves.

Each token represents an individual character, supported by a character sheet with personal statistics connected to speed, strength, and will to live. The tent becomes a dangerous tactical environment where players must decide whether to confront the horror, trust uncertain allies, or simply run.

• Explore a tactical hex map with individual character tokens.
• Use hiding, discovered items, and possible neutral characters to improve the kids’ chances.
• Face an intentionally unbalanced scenario focused on atmosphere and survival.

The Teen side can win if any of its characters escapes from the north, west, or east side of the map while hidden, or by killing the Carny. With danger surrounding them and trust never guaranteed, escape may be the safest objective in FREAKFACE!!!.
