About this board game

Fuji is a cooperative dice game for 2–4 players, played in about 45 minutes, in which adventurers race across dangerous terrain to escape an erupting Mount Fuji.

Just before the group reaches Japan’s most famous volcano, the earth begins to shake and deadly lava flows threaten everyone’s survival. Together, players must find the best route across a series of terrain cards and reach the safe village before the danger becomes too great.

Each round, players simultaneously and secretly roll their dice behind their screens. Every terrain card has a specific dice requirement, and moving onto a card depends not only on your own result, but also on how well it compares with the results of both neighboring players.

• Cooperate while keeping your dice results hidden.
• Judge terrain requirements and compare your outcome with both neighbors.
• Use limited communication, since players can only share information vaguely.
• Rely on both careful decisions and luck to stay ahead of the lava.

This restricted communication makes every move a group challenge. You must coordinate without knowing exactly what the others rolled, deciding when a route is safe enough and how the team can advance together.

The game ends successfully only when all players reach the village. The group fails if any adventurer falls victim to the lava or becomes too exhausted to continue, making every roll and movement decision matter.

Released in 2018, Fuji combines hidden information, dice rolling, cooperative planning, and escalating danger in a focused race for survival.
