About this board game

Fujiyama is a tile-placement and set-collection game for 2–5 players that takes around 30 minutes to play.

Across 9 rounds, players build their own Fujiyama through the seasons, placing tiles to create season sets and score points. The tiles available to you each round come from both your left and right neighbors, making every exchange part of the challenge.

After receiving two tiles, choose one to place in your Fujiyama. The other tile is not simply discarded: you give it away in the next round. This creates a continuing flow of tiles between players, with each decision affecting both your own mountain and your neighbors’ options.

  • Build Fujiyama across four seasons of play.
  • Place tiles to match season sets and score points.
  • Receive tiles from both neighbors each round.
  • Pass one of your received tiles to another player in the next round.
  • Collect wildlife tokens for end-game scoring.

Wildlife tokens reward helpful—or at least useful—tile choices. If a neighbor uses your tile instead of the tile received from their other neighbor, you receive a wildlife token from them for end-game scoring.

That leaves you with a meaningful choice: pass along a tile that may help another player and potentially benefit you, or give them something they may not want. You might limit their options, or perhaps see the tile return to you in the next round. In Fujiyama, building the best mountain depends on how you place your tiles and how you manage the tiles moving around the table.
