About this board game

Ganymede is a development and tableau-building game for 2–4 players, with play time of about 40 minutes. Released in 2018, it puts each player in the role of a corporation working to send settlers into space.

Your objective is to build the route that carries settlers from Earth to their final destination. The journey unfolds through a clear progression, as settlers are recruited on Earth, transported by shuttle to Mars, and then moved to Ganymede.

1. Recruit settlers on Earth.
2. Use shuttles to transport them to Mars.
3. Move them onward to Ganymede, where the settlers’ ships launch base is located.

As a development and tableau-building game, Ganymede focuses on growing your corporate presence while preparing settlers’ ships for launch. The progress of your settlers and your reputation both contribute to your final result.

The game ends when one player has launched four settlers’ ships into space. At that point, players score victory points from their launched ships and from their position on the reputation track.

With its focused space-colonization theme and structured Earth-to-Mars-to-Ganymede route, Ganymede offers a compact contest between corporations. Recruit settlers, advance them toward the launch base, and build enough momentum to send four ships into space before the game ends.
