About this board game
Go Nuts! is a push-your-luck dice game for 2–4 players that plays in about 15 minutes. Players race to collect acorn points, choosing when to stop safely and when to risk another roll.
On your turn, take all five squirrel dice and roll them. Any dice showing cars are set aside for the turn, while each acorn is worth one point. After every roll, decide whether to bank your acorn points or continue rolling in the hope of gathering more.
There is a dangerous twist: if you ever roll only squirrels, you lose every point collected during that turn and must call out “Go nuts!” You then roll all five dice as quickly as possible, calling out the total number of acorns as they appear.
- Roll five squirrel dice and collect acorn points.
- Set aside dice showing cars.
- Choose between banking points and pushing your luck.
- Trigger a special “go nuts” round by rolling only squirrels.
- Race to a total of 50 or more points.
During a “go nuts” round, every other player rolls one dog die at the same time. Each dog die shows a doghouse on five sides and a dog on one side. When an opponent rolls a dog, that player barks; once all opponents have barked, the active player stops rolling and scores all acorns rolled in the special round.
Players continue taking turns until someone reaches at least 50 points and wins. With its quick turns, escalating decisions, and lively calling and barking, Go Nuts! turns simple dice rolls into a race filled with risk and excitement.
