About this board game

Golden Cup is a competitive sports management board game for 1–6 players, with games lasting about 60 minutes. You take on the role of a young coach guiding a team of aspiring Fantasphere players toward the championship.

The fever for this new sport has spread throughout the kingdom, bringing creatures of all sorts to the capital in search of glory. As a coach, you must find the best talent, manage your finances, and build a team capable of overcoming fierce competition.

The game unfolds over six rounds followed by a finale. During each round, players move through different phases that first focus on improving their teams, then shift to simultaneous one-on-one matches played on different courts.

• Earn fame points based on match results.

Every match can affect the race for the championship. Depending on the results of your contests, you acquire the corresponding fame points and work to establish yourself as the kingdom’s leading coach.

At the end of the sixth round, the two players with the most fame points advance to the grand finale. There, they face the ultimate test for the right to claim the legendary Golden Cup.

With its blend of team improvement, financial management, competitive matches, and a climactic final, Golden Cup puts the ambition of young coaches at the center of a fast-moving Fantasphere championship.
