About this board game

GoodCritters is a game for 4–8 criminal critters that takes about 45 minutes to play, as a heist crew fights over how the loot should be divided.

After a heist, the critter chosen as boss decides how to distribute the loot. The boss can divide everything however they desire, whether that means sharing with the whole crew or keeping some of the riches for themselves.

But the boss does not have the final word. The crew gets to decide whether the proposed split is acceptable. If the crew dislikes the arrangement, they can tell the boss to take a hike and put another critter in charge.

  • 4–8 players: Gather a full crew of criminal critters.
  • Loot distribution: The boss determines who receives what.
  • Changing leadership: The crew can replace a boss whose split fails to satisfy them.
  • Competitive objective: Build the most valuable stash by the end.

This creates a tense struggle over every share of the haul. A boss may try to reward loyal crew members, keep valuable loot, or find a division that the others will accept—but the crew always has the power to challenge the decision.

In GoodCritters, success comes down to collecting the most valuable stash of loot. Released in 2018, it offers a focused contest of criminal ambition in which leadership, generosity, and the crew’s verdict shape every division of the spoils.
