About this board game

Grifters: Nexus is a standalone crime game for 2–4 players that plays in about 30 minutes. Set on the fringes of The Dystopian Universe, it puts players in the roles of powerful crime bosses competing to build the most profitable criminal organization.

Players carefully recruit operatives with specialized skills, assembling criminal teams capable of taking advantage of the chaos caused by the resistance. Their crews pursue ISK through cons, blackmail, daring heists, and other nefarious deeds.

Money is power in The Dystopian Universe, and every player is looking for opportunities to profit from the government, powerful corporations, and rival organizations. The competition can also turn directly against the other players, as criminal teams steal ISK from one another while pursuing their own ambitions.

Grifters: Nexus uses the same core cool down mechanisms found in Grifters, while adding new ways to develop and deploy a criminal operation. Its updated systems include:

  • 15 new specialist cards
  • A new job card system
  • New mechanisms alongside the returning cool down system

The game can be played on its own or used as an expansion for Grifters, originally released by Indie Boards and Cards in 2016. Whether approached as a standalone experience or as a continuation of the original game, Nexus focuses on recruitment, criminal schemes, and the pursuit of wealth.

At the end of the game, the player with the most ISK wins. For crime bosses operating in a world shaped by resistance and disorder, fortune belongs to the organization that can turn every opportunity into profit.
