About this board game

Guanga: Tejidos Andinos is a board game for 1–4 players, with a playing time of 60 minutes, in which you become a matron weaver competing to create meaningful Andean fabrics.

Set in the vast Andean mountain range, the game brings four tribes together at the great market held each year. Here, the nations of the mountains compete to capture their beliefs and cosmology in pieces of fabric, connecting ancestral traditions with the present.

Your challenge is to seek harmony among the elements that define each textile. Through the creation of fabrics, you work with:

  • Colors that contribute to each design
  • Patterns that express the character of the woven pieces
  • Symbols that reflect Andean beliefs and cultural heritage

The fabrics you create are intended for the traditional garments and cultural elements of the different peoples of the mountain range. Every design becomes a way to represent the deep connection between the tribes, the earth, and the cosmology of the Andes.

With its focus on textile creation and cultural expression, Guanga: Tejidos Andinos invites you to immerse yourself in the world of the guangas. Can you masterfully capture your cosmology in fabric and create the best work for the great Andean market?
