About this expansion

Hamburgum: Lisboa is a Lisbon-themed alternative map for 2–5 players, with an approximately 75-minute playing time. Created by Mac Gerdts for LeiriaCon 2008 and SpielPortugal, it brings Hamburgum to the city of Lisbon and its churches.

This expansion uses the materials from Hamburgum together with a dedicated Lisboa map and new bonus tiles. Its changes give the familiar game a distinct historical and cultural flavor while keeping the focus on the city’s churches.

On this map, donations must be made in a given order, progressing from #1 through #5. The map also has no divisions, so every bonus applies to the whole map rather than to a specific neighborhood.

  • One map of Lisboa
  • 30 bonus tiles representing 6 different churches
  • The remaining materials from Hamburgum
  • Wine produced instead of beer

The substitution of wine for beer reinforces the setting and provides a simple thematic change for this Lisbon version. Meanwhile, the church bonus tiles and the unified map create a presentation and rule structure specifically associated with Lisboa.

Hamburgum: Lisboa is an expansion rather than a standalone game: the rest of the required materials come from Hamburgum. For players familiar with the original, this alternative map offers a concise way to experience its system through Lisbon’s churches, ordered donations, whole-map bonuses, and wine production.
