About this board game

Hannin Wa Odoru is a quick card game for 3–8 players, with a playing time of approximately 10 minutes. Each player begins with four cards and, in turn, plays cards one by one as the search for the culprit unfolds.

Players can win in several ways. A player wins by catching the culprit, by playing their culprit card, or by playing a dog card and finding a culprit. These different winning conditions give the game a focused objective while keeping each card play important.

The game includes 32 cards featuring 11 different actions and roles:

• First Finder
• Dog
• Rumor
• Alibi
• Information Exchange
• Witness
• Barter
• Bystander
• Schemer/Accomplice

The Schemer/Accomplice card is noted as new for the 1000 Yen edition. Alongside the Detective, Culprit, Dog, Witness, and other card types, it forms part of a compact set built around discovering who is responsible.

With its small hand size, turn-by-turn card play, and multiple paths to victory, Hannin Wa Odoru presents a concise deduction experience. Released in 2013, it is designed for a quick session in which every played card can contribute to the effort to identify the culprit.
